Verbiage on belt reads MS 3M-201-6.5. This is a cogged or geared style belt, also known as a timing belt which does NOT need replaced every 6-12 months like a stretch belt. This type of belt will wear out but normally will not break or tear unless the brush roll has been restricted. Make sure your brush roll will spin freely before replacing the belt (replace brush roll if it will not spin freely) and before plugging the vacuum back in and turning it on.
