Before installing your new belt, inspect the old belt to determine why it needed replaced. Mylar is a very high tensile strength material. It is very difficult to break but will melt. If the brush roll or belt gets restricted from spinning for any reason the friction from the fast spinning motor shaft will melt through your belt. You may smell burnt rubber and see little pieces of burnt rubber on the belt.
