When replacing brushroll make sure the number on both end caps match.  Start off with number 1 then as bristles wear rotate end caps to number 2 and finally number 3.  You want to see number 1 on both end caps once installed.  And lastly after installed with belt on make sure belt is not pinched before using vacuum.  If belt is pinched it will break automatically upon using.
